With heavy hearts the family announces her passing on Friday November 24, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) (2021), loving mother of Hope Dalzell (Jim) of Oneida, NY and Robert Brooks of Fort Erie, sister of Lettie, aunt of Colin and a very dear friend to Joyce McQuestion. Bonnie was predeceased by siblings Claire and William.Bonnie was born in Toronto. As a homemaker, Bonnie enjoyed raising her family. She enjoyed bowling as a pastime which later led to a natural transition as a volunteer coach for Special Olympics Bowling. She also dedicated her time as a volunteer for St. John Ambulance. She had a soft spot in heart for animals but especially dogs. Bonnie took great pride in creating gifts, using her talents in knitting, crocheting, holiday crafts and especially her famous shortbread cookies.In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private family graveside service has been held. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly asks donations be made in her memory to the Canadian Veteran Service Dogs Unit or to Make A Wish Foundation.
