World War II British 1944 Dated Enfield No. 4 MKI (T) Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with No. 32 MK I Scope and MountThis is a fine example of an early 1943 dated WWII British Enfield No. 4 MK 1(T) sniper rifle fitted with a No. 32 MKII scope and matching mount. These rifles were used through out WWII into the early 1960s, until the British fielded the L42 series sniper rifles. The receiver side wall is faintly marked "No. 4 Mk. I/T", with the butt-socket marked "M47C/1944/ENGLAND/M30140/TR". The sniper scope is marked "TEL. SIGHTING/No.32 Mk.II/O.S. 1650A/1943/No.8239". The scope has the standard British post and cross hair reticle pattern, along with the original leather lens covers. The mount has a faint "N92" maker's mark with the rifle serial number (M30140) hand stamped on the side above the rear locking screw. The scope rings are stamped "393E and 394E" respectively. It has its matching numbered bolt, along with the standard stamped barrel bands. The underside of the buttstock is stamped with the standard maker's "S51" with the top flat area of the wrist stamped with another scope serial number, of "19539"? The forestock is correctly stamped with the matching serial number "30140" with various British inspection and acceptance proofs, over a Broad Arrow proof. The comb is fitted with a field replacement (oak type) cheekpiece held on with two wooden screws. It comes with one total, matching 10 round box magazine.
