Vintage Sewing Pattern 1950s Ladies' Long Line Full Coverage Bra
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
This is a digital, print-at-home sewing pattern for a 1950s long-line bra in two versions. The pattern can be made in long or shorter versions and features great support and full coverage. Size: 32 - 34 - 36 - 38 - 40 - 42 - 44 - 46 - 48 inch bust. All sizes are included. This pattern is formatted to allow you to select layers and only print your desired size if you so choose! Sewing patterns for bras in the 1940s and 1950s didn't gauge size by cup size. They instead used the full over bust measurement like one does with blouses. The closure calls for 4" or 6" wide elastic, though we would recommend using a plush-backed purchased bra back closure or hook and eye tape for more comfort/ adjustability. Fabric suggestions: Light to medium weight woven (non-stretch) fabric for the outer. I recommend soft cotton or lawn, satin, silk or rayon crepe, or even charmeuse. 1/2 yard of lining fabric (if you choose to line, that is.) I recommend lightweight woven (non-stretch) cotton lawn but the general rule of thumb is, if you don't want it touching your girls, don't line a bra with it. Printing a PDF is easy. Just open, make sure that your printer scale is set to 100% (this should be the default setting in most cases) and then hit print. Copyright 2022 Mrs. Depew Vintage LLC. All Rights Reserved.
