Deep, dense substrate with a moderate hotspot and UVB should be provided with plenty of places to hide and climb. You will notice with your king snake that it will create a network of tunnels in your vivarium, and use them to thermo regulate and to use them as a hunting tool. These larger king snakes are one of the Dude's all time favorites. Not only for their larger size but their amazing iridescence that comes off of their solid black bodies.
