Transgender Model Stuns in Bathing Suit on the Cover of ELLE Brazil
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
Models getting their own magazine cover these days is rare (Karlie Kloss might be pretty but the Kardashians sell copies), but Valentina Sampaio fronts ELLE Brazil’s November issue. So what makes this woman whose last name isn’t Hadid or Jenner worthy of such an honor? While Sampaio’s beauty is remarkable, the cover is important for another reason: it marks another small step for diversity in the fashion industry because Sampaio is a transgender woman. The 19-year-old’s latest shoot is just the latest contribution to the fashion industry’s efforts to be more gender inclusive.

On Thursday, Fox aired The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do The Timewarp Again. It was an updated version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show updated cast. The role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, which was originally played by Tim Curry, was played by Laverne Cox. Janet, who as originally played by Susan Sarandon, was played by former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice. Adam Lambert took over the role of Eddie whom Meatloaf first played. There were a few nice homages during the program. Tim Curry played the role of The Criminologist, who instructed the audience how to do the Time Warp. The crowds that have watched the weird film in late night showings during the last forty years also got some attention. Several times a theater audience was shown interacting with the show like throwing toilet paper at the screen as Brad yelled, Great Scott! The show was able to bring a new audience to the weird world of Rocky Horror.
