Frank Matthew 'Frankie' Leggens, Jr., 25, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The funeral mass will be held on Friday at 2 pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church. A committal service will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park. Frankie had lived in Greenville along with his family since 1995. He was a graduate of D.H. Conley High School and had attended Pitt Community College. He was currently employed at LKQ Salvage (former Foss Auto Salvage, Inc.) He previously assisted his father in the family business, Affordable Services. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Most will fondly remember Frankie for his love of BMX Riding and for the love of the sport. He was fortunate to be have been mentored by local professionals early on and he was on track to become a professional rider himself. He also was currently mentoring new and up and coming BMX riders. A gentle person by nature, Frankie will also be remembered for his fun loving and energetic personality. He enjoyed playing Frisbee golf with his dog, 'Spy' when time allowed along with many other active sports. Frankie's life was too short but he touched many people and leaves a legacy of dedication and determination. He was a loving son, a best friend to his father, a loving brother and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by many. Frankie was preceded in death by an aunt, Rose Krivak. He is survived by his: parents, Judith and Frank Leggens; brother, James R. 'Jimmy' Leggens, all of Greenville; grandmother, Amelia Krivak,; uncles, John and Ronald Krivak; and aunt, Nancy Krivak, all of Tarentum, PA . The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:30 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
