This photo shows two different types of accommodation that were available at Wacol Hostel in 1965. The corrugated iron huts were called "Nissen Huts". They were army left-overs from the Second World War. This is where we lived for the first couple of months after we moved out of Yungaba.. Behind that, you can just make out the more "modern" wooden huts. We were eventually "upgraded" to one of these. I don
