Aims/Objectives:

  • To be able to recite Quran correctly, pronouncing each letter from its correct place of pronunciation and with its appropriate qualities.
  • To prevent individulas from making major mistakes when reciting the Quran
Content Summary:

Over four years students will complete the ‘Tajweed Kapi’, memorise Juzz Amma, and recite portions of the Quran to their teacher.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To familiarise oneself with legal rulings, in terms of Ibaadaat and Muaamalaat, mainly pertaining to the Hanafi Madhab
  • To understand the Hanafi approaches towards deriving legal rulings
  • To appreciate inter-Madhab differences in terms of legal rulings and how different scholars reached different conclusions
  • To be able to solve contemporary legal issues
Content Summary:

Over the five years study ‘Ascent to Felicity’, ‘Al-Qudoori’ and selected chapters of ‘Al-Hidaayah’.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To be able to translate the Quran accurately
  • To be able to grammatically analyse Quranic Verses
  • To gain exposure to a range of different exegeses
Content Summary:

Over four years students will translate the entirety of the Quran as well as gaining exposure to a plethora of exegeses.

  • To be able to understand the meaning behind a range of different Ahadith
  • To be able to understand the principles which are derived from Ahadith
Content Summary:

Over four years students will study ‘Muwatta Imam Muhammad’, ‘Mishkaatul Masaabeeh’, ‘Saheehul Bukhaari’, ‘Saheeh Muslim’, ‘Al-Tirmidhi’, ‘Ibn Majah’, ‘Abu Dawood’ and ‘Al-Nasaai’.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To familiarise oneself with the principles which are used to reach legal rulings
  • To familiarise oneself with terminologies pertaining to Islamic Law
Content Summary:

Over two years students will study ‘Mabaadiul Usool’ and ‘Usoolul Shaashi’.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To understand and appreciate the eloquence of the Quran
  • To familiarise individuals with the different styles of eloquence used in Arabic language
  • To extract rhetorical structures from Arabic passages
Content Summary:

Students will study ‘Safeenatul Bulagaa’ and the English notes designed by the teacher.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To gain a good foundational understanding of Mantiq
  • To understand the importance and application of Mantiq
  • To think coherently before embarking on one’s journey towards critical thinking
Content Summary: Students will cover إيساغوجي

Aims/Objectives:

  • To revive the Science of Inheritance
  • To appreciate the divisions of Inheritance
  • To be able to solve present day Inheritance questions

Students will study English notes designed by the teacher.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To familiarise oneself with the principles that render a Hadith valid or fabricated
  • To familiarise oneself with the terminologies used in Ahadith discussions
  • To familiarise oneself with chains of narrations
Content Summary:

Students will study ‘Mabaadi Fi Usoolul Hadeeth Wa Isnaad’, as well as English notes designed by the teacher.

Aims/Objectives:

  • To ground one’s beliefs in Allah based on both rational and revelatory evidences.
  • To be able to confidently articulate Islam in the 21st Century
  • To be able to answer objections made by Atheists, Agnostics and other ideologies
  • To use the Aqeedah framework to answer/tackle contemporary issues
Content Summary:

Over four years students will complete Al-Baajoori's ‘Introduction to Islamic Creed’, AqeedahTahawiyyah and other advanced Aqeedah books. In addition, some lessons will also be used to tackle contemporary issues within the Aqeedah framework.
